Rat Terrier
*** Cache Creek Animal Rescue is pleased to announce its new "Home For The Holidays" program. In an attempt to gain safe, warm, happy homes for some really good dogs that have been languishing here, we are offering these fully vetted, homeless babies to potential families with an approved application for an adoption fee of only $50. This program will run through the holidays or until all the participants have attained their fondest dream and burning desire--their oh-so-elusive forever family. Some of these guys have slight issues; some just don't handle the adoption events well; some have just been overlooked for reasons I don't understand. Adelle is a participant in this program. This is the time of year when most potential adopters are looking for cute little puppies, and that is a good thing. But, some of these older, abandoned dogs will bring love, life, and an overwhelming feeling in your heart and soul that will astound you. You will not believe how fast these lovely ladies will bond with you (and you with them). Many of them have known better days, and they are very anxious to recover that human/canine relationship. As we progress through this holiday season, consider whether Adelle might be just the addition your life needs for this Christmas and all the many Christmases she has to offer. Adelle and Etta were left at a kind lady's house while a homeless man searched for a place to stay that would permit him to keep his little dogs with him. He never came back, so we can only surmise that his search was in vain. The kind lady could not keep Etta and Adelle, but managed to get them to shelter. Adelle is a spunky little lady (maybe four or five years old). She's high spirited, but tends to be a bit protective of her person. Adelle might be best off in a home where she's the only inside dog. She would make a fine, fine companion. Because of her size and temperament, Adelle would make an excellent apartment dweller. She would, however, be well suited to short or long walks if her person was inclined. Don't underestimate her value as a watchdog, either. An intruder would get Adelle's mama over Adelle's dead body (literally). Good dog, this Adelle. Give her a call if you can. She's ready and waiting. *All dogs that leave Cache Creek are up-to-date on all shots (including rabies, if old enough), wormed appropriately, heartworm tested (if age-appropriate) and started on heartworm preventative, treated with flea/tick preventative, spayed or neutered, and microchipped.
